For the recreational gymnasts the last day of training is Saturday 12th April for the break and is back on Monday 28th April 2008. It will be a ten week term. Please remember we train all holiday Mondays/Fridays etc if they are in the middle of a term for recreation and competitive gymnasts.         Competitive training for gymnastics please see your coach for holiday training times.  For trampolining you will be off the week beginning 14  April for one week.

Please remember to pay your monthly fees even if you are not here. They are worked out with 6 weeks holiday but payments are spread evenly over the year.                 

Enrollments for next term are being taken now, so please be sure to re-enroll your child to ensure your child’s placement for next term. We need the updated form as well please. All recreational fees must be paid  by 12th April, to guarantee your place  so we can ensure we have enough coaches for the classes. There will be no discounts after this date. Also we reserve the right to fill your place if we have not had payment. We then open the waiting lists to fill the remaining places, we have over 300 on the list!!!!

Gwa Fees     

These should have been paid for by now. If you are paying termly the next term is due of $11.

For competitors you will not be able to compete unless your GWA fee is paid.  You will need tracksuits, and the appropriate leotards etc, please see the desk or your coach for further information.

You can also buy shirts (see right) but these are not compulsory. 

Holiday program                                         

We are running a sporting holiday programme at High Flyers from  Monday 14th April to Friday 25th April. 

Full day 8.30-4pm. $30, 1/2 day 8.30-12.30  or 12.30-4pm. $20.

Booking is essential as limited places. Booking forms at High Flyers Gym. Age 5-12 years.  

Need a minimum of 10 per session to run.

Staff   

We would like to welcome Zoe and Michelle who will be coaching recreational gymnastics. Also we would like to thank Paul for his coaching here for the last 1.5 years, good luck in the future. If you wish to help out with coaching or judging we are always looking for new talent. From this year if we do not provide the right number of judges at competitions we will get fined $100 per judge.

Please come along and see either James, Tony or Emma.

Please could you ensure we have up to date details on your child. We require this for all gymnasts.  Especially mobiles if your child is feeling ill or has an accident we will need to contact you fast.                                                         

Please collect your children on time or remind them to wait inside as we cannot be responsible for them when they are outside.

WAG news      

There has been a change to the NDP badge test, it will not be end of May as previously arranged but will be end of June date to be confirmed.

Please make sure you have all your uniform for the start of the competition season which starts this coming term, good luck to you all. Tracksuit order going in before Easter.

MAG news     

Congratulations to Ryan, Kevin and Kylie who passed their Level 2 judging course. Still need more judges though.
Good luck to Jay, Brady, Ryan and Kevin who have trials for nationals Level 7 coming up.

Trampoline News     

The competition season has started with 4 competitions coming up this term, including the National Age Championships. We have 4 qualified already with another 10 hopefully qualifying over the next few competitions. Good luck to you all. Tony has been appointed as State Coach for Trampolining, well done.

Congratulations to  Alex Zagari, Susan Watts, Jeff Graham, Helen Constable and Renee Constable for passing their trampolining judging level one course.  Still need more judges for trampolining or volunteer roles such as spotters, marshals, camera operators etc. Please see Tony or Laurie if you are able to help. We do not want to get fined.

Fundraising.     

We are always looking for fun profitable ways to help send  our competive athletes to competitions, especially interstate.  If you can help or have any wonderful ideas please let us know. We have a photo shoot on Saturday 3rd May from 12 mid day onwards. It costs $15 per family (must be at least 2 generations) and you will get a 10x13” colour or black and white print with a key ring as an added extra.
