For the recreational gymnasts and trampolinist the last day of training is Saturday 5th July for the holiday break and is back on Monday 21st July 08 for recreational gymnastics. We will have a ten week term. Please remember we train every Monday during the term time or any public holiday if it is in term time. Boys competitive gymnasts and all competitive trampolinists will have week beginning 7th July off from training. Competitive girls please see your coach due to competitions coming up
Enrollments for next term are being taken now, so please be sure to re-enroll your child to ensure your child’s placement for next term. We need the completedforms returned as we have a new database and we need to update all details. All recreational fees must be paid by Sunday 6th July so we can ensure we have enough coaches and time to sort out the classes. We will fill any places not paid for by this date. Please inform us if your child is not returning as we have other children waiting for places for trampolining and gymnastics. Any problems please see your coach.
We are very sad to see Tash leaving us on July 16th to fly home to the UK. We all wish her a safe journey and good luck in her studies in the UK and hope to see her back in the not too distant future.
There are a quite a few people not paying their fees on time, there is a $10 per child, late fee payable for this. Competitors have until the 10th of the month. You will also lose your discount if you have two children or more. We have a large waiting list and we reserve the right to fill your place. Please can you pay the fees to a receptionist not anyone else. They are in from 4pm to 6pm (some nights later) weekdays and Saturday 9-11am. A good way to pay is via the internet and set it up monthly then we will not have to keep reminding you. Please make sure your child’s name is on the details, as we have a few paid without names on!
Good luck to all gymnasts and trampolinists competing this year. Trampolining have Evie Burton, Aimee Curia, Abbie Watts, Zac Robertson, Curtis Booth, Ria Bakewell, Eva Kierath, Malcolm Brits, Chrissie Banwell, Oliver Booth and Alex Zagari competiting the last week of the term in Melbourne, in the Australian National Trampoline Championships. Good luck and enjoy the experience.
WAG gymnasts are all gearing up for their competitions starting with badge testing in June. Good luck to all! We would like to encourage all gymnasts and their parents to support their team mates and club by attending competitions with club coloured pom poms, banners, and loud cheery voices! So get your craft hands on the ready and see if we can out do everyone else in the Barmy Army department! Many thanks to Lisa and Nick Fitzpatrick who went to the trouble of making us a Fabulous Wrist Strengthening Device! The WAG girls love it, it’s the ‘easy’ station, in amongst all the chin ups and leg lifts! Club hair scrunchies are compulsory for WAG competitions and are $5.00 a pair, to be paid to your daughter’s coach, or directly to Mel G. These will be available within the week. Last but not least, with the colder weather setting in, gymnasts are required to wear warm clothing to and from training. Black leggings/footless tights/tight fitting t-shirts can also be worn during WAG training.

Events in the near future. We are always on the look out for assistant coaches as well as qualified coaches to work at the gym. Also we always need more judges and officials from our club otherwise the gymnasts will not be able to compete. If you are interested in becoming a coach/judge please see Tony/James/Mel G. We are having a new database produced for us, so please send in your completed form, on the reverse, with up to date details on your child/children. Fundraising committee are always on the lookout for new members. We raise money to help the competitors with travel expenses to competitions interstate. We need help especially from parents with children who compete. If you have any suggestions for the good of the club please send them to Tony or write them down and give them in at the desk or e-mail. We are always open to suggestions and ideas.
