Two gymnasts from Wangara’s High Flyers Trampoline and Gymnastics Academy have been selected to represent WA at the upcoming Women’s Gymnastics Australian Championships in July.

Jessica Greene 15yo from Marangaroo and Justis Titterton, 16yo from Craigie both made it on to the WA State Team following an intense couple of weekends of Qualifying Competitions which were held at the State Gymnastics Centre, Leederville in May.

Jessica Greene comes out of retirement after taking a 6 month break last year to secure her position as 3rd in the Level 7 team, whilst Justis has been named as a reserve in the Level 8 team.

Under the direction of coach, James Keatley, who has also been named a State Coach for the WA team, Kara Criddle, WG Coach, (not pictured) and Colleen Ballantyne, State Judge, both girls have worked hard to overcome injuries and endure training sessions almost every afternoon of the week, whilst also studying for their TEE.

Both girls have been members of High Flyers for over 10 years now.

The Championships to be held at Challenge Stadium from 4th of July to 11th of July will showcase the best of Australia’s gymnasts from around the country.
